Butterfly Book

~Butterfly~ is a book by Aries and Joshua Gordon documenting the drag and trans community in Havana.

Shot on location in Cuba over 4 weeks, the images portray Josh’s experience of its subjects lives and identities.

The book includes an essay handwritten by Josh recounting his experiences during his trip to Cuba and personal questionnaires compiled by his subjects to further our understanding of their day to day lives and ambitions.

The reportage is set alongside studio imagery created in collaboration with Jane How and featuring the accompanying capsule collection.
